BREEAM Communities is an international green building certification developed by the Building Research Establishment (BRE) in the United Kingdom. Unlike standards that focus only on individual buildings, BREEAM Communities takes a master-planning approach to evaluate large-scale developments — including new urban areas, mixed-use communities, and regeneration projects.
