CIC Provides Training, Consulting, and Data Collection Support

Immediately after finalizing the scope of work, CIC’s team of experts conducted an on-site survey at the cement plant to identify emission sources and define the inventory boundaries in accordance with Circular No. 13/2024/TT-BXD (guidelines for GHG inventory in the building materials sector) and Decree No. 06/2022/NĐ-CP.

CIC Delivers GHG Awareness Training and Supports Data Collection for Tan Thang Cement

In addition to technical surveys, CIC conducted training sessions to raise awareness among Tan Thang Cement’s staff on greenhouse gas emissions, emphasizing the significance and benefits of conducting GHG inventories. The training also included guidance on collecting operational data to support the preparation of the 2024 facility-level GHG inventory report, which will be submitted to the Provincial People’s Committee for review before March 31, 2025.

Capacity Building for Technical Teams

CIC’s consulting team delivered GHG inventory awareness training and hands-on guidance on data collection to Tan Thang Cement’s technical staff, ensuring that the company’s internal team could actively participate in the process and maintain data transparency and accuracy.

Alongside these efforts, CIC also guided the collection of operational data necessary for compiling the 2024 GHG inventory report in compliance with government regulations.

Introduction to Tan Thang Cement Plant

Located in Quynh Luu, Nghe An Province, Tan Thang Cement Plant was inaugurated and began operations in 2018 with a designed capacity of 5,000 tons of clinker per day, equivalent to 2 million tons of cement annually.

The plant utilizes state-of-the-art technologies, equipment, and production lines imported from leading EU and G7 countries such as Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and Denmark. These systems are characterized by low thermal energy consumption and emission dust concentrations that meet stringent environmental standards.
