Grassroots Greenhouse Gas Inventory

CIC has been actively meeting and working with numerous Vietnamese cement companies to introduce solutions related to greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction.

In the context of Vietnam’s commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 made at the COP26 Conference, and the issuance of Decree No. 06/2022 on GHG emission reduction, inventorying and managing emissions has become more urgent than ever. Understanding this, CIC recognizes that supporting businesses in their journey toward sustainable development and compliance with strict government requirements is essential—especially as 1,912 enterprises will be required to submit GHG inventory reports to provincial authorities by March 2025.

Over the years, CIC has consistently engaged with cement manufacturers across Vietnam to share insights and provide consulting on GHG emission management and reduction.

Based on the information gathered during these meetings and surveys, CIC delivered customized recommendations for inventory implementation and technical solutions aimed at optimizing production processes, reducing CO₂ emissions, and improving energy efficiency.
